As a Raleigh family photographer, there's nothing more rewarding than capturing the connection between parents and their kids. The Albright family’s fall photo session was a perfect example of capturing authentic love and joy in a relaxed setting.
A Story of Love and Growth
I first met the Albright family in June 2023 while I was six months pregnant with my third child. In hindsight, the fact that they trusted a profoundly pregnant woman to capture their joy in the NC summer heat is a testament to their risk tolerance (and for that I am grateful)! I had just launched my photography business and as my work has grown, so has my relationship with this wonderful family. It has been an honor to document their evolving story and witness their growth as people and as a family.
A Raleigh Family Photography Session to Remember
Our session took place at the North Carolina Museum of Art Park in Raleigh. The way the golden sunlight reflected on the dry winter backdrop and bathed the family in a dreamy glow was *chef’s kiss.* It also helps that the Albrights love each other deeply and it shows—just look at how Rianne (mom) smiles at her husband and the playful ways that Parrish (dad) interacts with their son Brandt. They’ve got something real.
As a family photographer in Raleigh, NC, my #1 goal is to create an experience that brings out these same authentic moments of joy for everyone. Rather than stiff poses, I focus on genuine moments—running through the grass, snuggling up close, and tickling when appropriate. These candid, emotive images aren’t just something you can hang on your wall, they’re reminders of the core memories your family is creating now and will remember forever.
